Dr. Pat Tokarz grew up in Kingsport, Tennessee and attended Stanford University for his undergraduate degree. He received his medical training at the University of Tennessee, Center for Health Care Sciences, Memphis. Dr. Tokarz completed his Family Practice residency, followed by a teaching fellowship, at Hershey Medical Center. He has been practicing in Northern Virginia since 1978.  He has been involved in various medical organizations, the recipient of numerous awards and is a clinical professor at George Washington Medical School and at Georgetown University Medical School.  His first professional priority is caring for his patients.  He enjoys the continuity and comprehensive nature of Family Practice.  Dr. Tokarz, his wife and their two sons reside in Alexandria.  He enjoys scouts, crew, tennis and hiking in the nearby mountains.

Dr. Tokarz specializes in Personalized Preventive Care. He has limited his practice to 500 patients.  Each patient  receives an executive-style physical exam focused on prevention and early detection, followed by a comprehensive wellness plan tailored to each individual's  lifestyle.   Additionally, in his smaller practice setting Dr. Tokarz is able to offer same day or next day appointments that start on time. Support services are offered by MDVIP, the national leader in Personalized Preventive Care (www.mdvip.com).  There is an annual $1,500.00 fee  for the executive-style physical which is not covered by health insurance but may be reimbursable through a Flexible Spending Account.
