Personalized Preventive Medicine

Dr. Gardner grew up in Virginia Beach and attended Virginia Military Institute where he was a class officer, cadet captain, and on the wrestling team. After graduating from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, he did his Family Practice internship at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA. From 1979-1982 he was a general medical officer in the U.S. Army serving in Germany and the Netherlands.  He returned to Virginia Beach to finish his residency at the First Colonial Family Practice program of the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Gardner has been in private practice since 1985 and has been active in various medical organizations. He enjoys the challenge of Family Practice, especially in the areas of disease prevention and healthy living. Dr. Gardner and his wife reside in Alexandria. He is a military history buff and is currently researching his family genealogy.

Dr. Gardner specializes in Personalized Preventive Care.  He has limited his practice to 600 patients.  Each patient receives a comprehensive wellness exam focused on prevention and early detection followed by a comprehensive wellness plan tailored to each individual's lifestyle.  Additionally, in his smaller practice setting Dr. Gardner is able to offer same day or next day appointments that start on time.  Support services are provided by MDVIP, a leader in Personalized Preventive Care (www.mdvip.com).  There is a $1, 500.00 annual fee for the executive physical that is not covered by health insurance but may be reimbursable through a Flexible Spending Account.  Please call MDVIP at 1-877-866-1411 for more information or to join Dr. Gardner's  Personalized Preventive Care practice.  If you would like to meet Dr. Gardner please call 703-647-4962 to schedule a free Meet & Greet appointment.
